Aussie Curves {Boho}

So, when a Aussie Curves theme comes along that’s outside my comfort zone, I start searching for inspiration… First stop google, then Pinterest and Polyvore and I love having a search on Etsy… Which is exactly where my journey for this week’s AC post started…

I wanted to stay true to the season, and I was in love with the winter Boho images gracing my screen – textures, layering, furs, boots, winter skirts – so beautiful! I was inspired! I flew to my wardrobe and pulled out as much texture as I could find – given my obsession with cable knit, I had quite a lot to choose from!

I may have delved a little further into the look than I was expecting… Heading towards a little more Sherpa than Boho – but I still love this look. I only wish that I had someone to take photos for me, somewhere a little more exotic than my bedroom!

I couldn’t decide whether to go a beanie on this look or not, so then I decided to have a play around…

Dress: Grey Cable Knit Sweater Dress from Old Navy
Tights: Dark Grey Cable Knit tights from Kmart
Cardigan: Aztec Knit Waterfall Cardigan from Crossroads
Boots: Grey Suede knee high boots from Torrid (wide width)
Belt: Gold stud belt from Torrid
Headband: Brown and gold headband from eQuip
Beanie: Cable Knit slouchy beanie with pompoms from Etsy
Bangles: Wooden Bangles from eQuip

Ok, and one for fun, abandoning Boho, and pushing forwards to full Sherpa mode with the switch up of one accessory – my Fox Fur hat. I got this beautiful hat while traveling in Russia. I was backpacking so needless to say, it didn’t get a whole lot of wear… I have never actually worn it, and while generally I’m not a fan of fur… When in Russia, do as the Russians – and boy did those women look glamorous swanning around in these hats!

  1. Beautiful combination! You look great. I get your frustration at not being able to take your creation out and about for photos.

    I love, love the fur hat, haha, those things always seem like such a good idea at the time.
