Aussie Curves {Oversized}

This week’s Aussie Curves theme of Oversized is not my usual style. For me, maintaining my shape is key to my style so I really had no idea how I was going to participate this week…

When I went to visit Harlow at their Salon Saturday (while I was on a trip to Melbourne – see the whole post here) I decided to jump out of that comfort zone and give this style a try.

I’m wearing the Blue Skies Ahead oversized top and the Wet and Wild Scuba leggings both from Harlow.

Why o why have I resisted the wedge sneaker for so long? I always liked the look – and they are so comfortable! Target had them on sale last weekend for $30 and I couldn’t resist! I’m keen to head back and get more colours – I’m now obsessed!

The fabric of the top has a sheen to it, and the fabric drapes beautifully. I had always thought it would look unflattering and shapeless – but I actually really like the look. If I’m really honest, I also thought the oversized and layer look would make me look older – which is why I love finishing it with the high top wedge sneakers – it’s a really funky touch to the outfit and I feel like it updates the look.

  1. Love it Jo, I think the key to oversized is wearing something tight, like leggings or a belt or something to pinch it in at places… well, that’s my take on it anyway. Looking hot lady! πŸ™‚
